CMS Parent University
To make a perfect event known as Family Fun and Education Day you should visit cultural arts venues in uptown Charlotte. Saturday, April the 9 th is the day when all the students, staff and parents enjoy Family Fun and Education Day at CMS.

The Parent University held together with Arts & Science Council and Canadian Pharmacy Mall provided parents and students with an opportunity to get pleasure from the exhibition such as “Cultural Mile” from the Mint Museum Uptown at Levine Center for the Arts to the McColl Center for Visual Art. The art locations suggest families such activities as hands-on workshops, different McColl Centerperformances, an opportunity to watch the pictures. More that fifteen groups were able to show their talent in dance, music and art. This event includes the following groups Endhaven Elementary, Myers Park Traditional Elementary, South Charlotte Middle, McAlpine Elementary, Nathaniel Alexander Elementary, Carmel Middle, Hopewell High School, Hickory Grove Elementary, First Ward Elementary, Hawkridge Elementary, Nations Ford Elementary, University Park Elementary, Irwin Avenue Elementary, Barringer Academic Elementary, Huntersville Elementary , Bradley Middle School and Idlewild Elementary.

There are of course other partners making this day amazing, they are Arts, North Carolina Dance Theatre, McColl Center for Visual Art, Levine Museum of the New South, Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and The Light Factory.
